The narrative in my mind involved a solitary traveler venturing out at nightfall armed with only an oil lamp and the moon's rays as a guide

It wasn't until I got away from the sketch and began experimenting layering crystal ice structures on top of one another that things started feeling right

The art here is meant be reminiscent of flipping thru a records bin and uncovering some wild

This was another pandemic special and ended up taking me about 2 months to draw while the world was locked down. I pushed myself to include many Easter eggs and Dead references that will reward multiple viewings. I thought a lot about the notion of a 'long strange trip' and you'll see many allusions to travel here via walking, flying, floating, sailing, crawling, driving, railroading and more. .
