Antique Twisted Whalebone Ladies Riding Whip or Crop - w1783 african The closing strap is brokenThis very fine whalebone whip has a braided thread cap and two similar knops or collars. The grip is twisted and wrapped in baleen or whalebone. Some of this wrapping is damaged but has been stabilised with lacquer.
